The 1B12 is the most compact cabinet in Form Factor Audio's Ceramic line — a single 12-inch ceramic woofer paired with a 1.4-inch compression driver, housed in a calibrated Baltic birch enclosure voiced specifically for bass guitar. Designed and built in California, the 1B12 carries the same engineering DNA as every cabinet in the Bass Instinct Series Cabinets: precision-jointed construction, 18-AWG powder-coated steel grill, hand-applied Gig Armor™ Textured Black finish, and serviceable hardware throughout.

What it does
At the heart of the 1B12 is a single 12-inch ceramic-magnet woofer paired with a 1.4-inch high-frequency compression driver — a combination engineered to deliver focused low-mid response, clean transient detail, and the smooth top-end articulation that defines the Form Factor sound. Selectable 4-ohm or 8-ohm operation provides flexibility across a wide range of amplifier configurations, while the calibrated Baltic birch enclosure ensures the cabinet contributes structural integrity to the sound rather than coloration.

The 1B12 finds its home anywhere the working bassist needs a compact rig with serious low-end authority — studio sessions where space is at a premium, theater orchestral pits, intimate club stages, and rehearsal rooms where neighbors matter. Pair with a Bi500 Di Mark III for an exceptionally portable studio configuration, or stack two 1B12s for a wider-dispersion rig.
