The 1B15 is the deepest-tuned cabinet in Form Factor Audio's Ceramic line — a single 15-inch ceramic woofer paired with a 1.4-inch compression driver, designed and built in California to deliver the extended low-frequency response that upright bassists, range-extended electric players, and synth-driven projects depend upon. With a frequency response that extends to 32 Hz, the 1B15 captures the fundamental of every note a five- or six-string bass can produce.
Trusted by orchestral and session bassists for its ability to reproduce upright bass cleanly at stage volume, the 1B15 carries the unmistakable Form Factor character: precise, controlled, and voiced for music. The standard 8-ohm configuration suits most paired-cabinet rigs; a 4-ohm version is available by special order for players whose specific configuration requires it.
What it does
A single 15-inch ceramic-magnet woofer and a 1.4-inch compression driver, in a calibrated Baltic birch cabinet engineered with internal cross-bracing for resonance control. 600 watts of RMS handling with 98 dB sensitivity provides ample headroom for amplification of acoustic upright and extended-range electric bass. The cabinet's Gig Armor™ Textured Black finish and 18-AWG steel grill complete the visual continuity with the rest of the Bass Instinct Series.
