Quad 8-Inch Voicing in California-Built Lite Hybrid Construction

The 4B8LH is a quad 8-inch cabinet engineered around Form Factor Audio's Lite Hybrid construction methodology — a precision-engineered chassis combining three different types of plywood with neodymium driver technology and a proprietary 1.46-inch annular tweeter. Designed and built in California, the 4B8LH delivers the focused, articulate sonic signature that defines the 8-inch driver format, in a touring-ready configuration available in two impedance variants (4Ω and 8Ω).

Trusted by touring bassists who specifically value the focused articulation of the quad 8-inch format, the 4B8LH delivers 800 watts RMS (1600W max) at 101 dB sensitivity through a 50 Hz–20 kHz bandwidth — at a chassis weight of 46 pounds, in standard Gig Armor™ Textured Black or one of two limited-series corporate finishes.

What it does

Four 8-inch neodymium-magnet woofers paired with a 1.46-inch annular tweeter, in a Light Hybrid Design cabinet built from three different types of plywood. 800 watts of nominal RMS handling, 1600 watts maximum. 50 Hz–20 kHz frequency response. 101 dB sensitivity. Selectable between 4-ohm and 8-ohm SKUs at point of order.

“The 8-inch driver is a specific tonal answer — tighter response than a 12, more displacement than a 10 — and four of them in a single cabinet creates a sonic signature you don't get from any other configuration. The Lite Hybrid construction adds the dimension we wanted: three types of plywood working together, each chosen for the role it plays in the cabinet's acoustic behavior. The 1.46-inch annular tweeter extends the top end naturally without harshness. Together, it's a cabinet that does exactly what an 8-inch driver array should do, in a chassis built to travel.” — Mike Lera, Head of Engineering & Design
