Unmatched Power, Precision, and Reliability for the Modern Bassist
The Bi1000 Di Mark III represents the newest evolution of Form Factor Audio's acclaimed Bass Instinct series. Designed and built in California, the Mark III generation preserves the unmistakable Form Factor tone while introducing major advancements in power delivery, engineering efficiency, and international touring capability.
Trusted by touring professionals and session bassists for over a decade, the Bi Series has always been about one thing: delivering clean, authoritative, uncompressed bass tone under any conditions. The Bi1000 Di Mark III continues that legacy at an entirely new level — engineered around the new Dynamic Power Supply, refined limiter circuitry, and a universal voltage architecture that travels anywhere in the world.
What it does
At the heart of the Bi1000 Di Mark III is the new Dynamic Power Supply (DPS) — a re-engineered output stage incorporating an expanded capacitor bank that maintains a flat 1000 watts RMS at both 4-ohm and 8-ohm operation, across the entire bass register. A four-band tone stack with sweepable midrange selector provides precision tone shaping for any acoustic environment, while the refined limiter circuit responds with greater dynamic nuance, allowing players to dig in without unwanted artifacts or abrupt compression. Universal 100–240 VAC auto-switching power makes the Mark III ready for any stage on any continent, in a powder-coated aluminum chassis engineered to fit naturally into a gig bag, a backpack, or a studio rack.
“The Mark III's dual XLR architecture serves a specific purpose. The pre-EQ output sends your instrument's signal — clean, uncolored, exactly as the bass produces it — directly to the studio engineer or recording chain. The post-EQ output captures everything you've shaped at the front panel: gain staging, tone curve, limiter setting. Two contexts, two purpose-built outputs. That philosophy has defined the Bi Series since the original Bi1000, and it's at the heart of every Mark III amplifier we ship.” — Mike Lera, Head of Engineering & Design

In use
The Bi1000 Di Mark III is built for the bassist whose week takes them from a Tuesday rehearsal to a Friday club date to a Sunday studio session — and a flight to Berlin the next morning. Plug it in anywhere in the world, run a single 8-ohm cabinet for fly dates without losing power, or stack two cabinets for full-stage rigs. The dual DI architecture means the front-of-house engineer hears the tone the player intends on stage; the studio engineer receives a clean, uncolored DI track for the mix, captured from the same chassis at the same moment.
